This policy is issued in compliance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its regulations.

We may collect and process the following personal data from readers, authors, reviewers, editors, and CMICA members:

  • Signature (for administrative purposes)

  • ORCID, ResearcherID, and professional profiles (if provided voluntarily)

2. Purpose of Data Use

Personal data is collected for the following primary purposes:

  • Managing editorial, peer-review, and publication processes on the RAM OJS platform.

  • Registering and authenticating users on our editorial system.

  • Fulfilling contractual and legal obligations related to academic and scientific publication.

  • Communicating with users regarding editorial matters, academic services, or member services.

Secondary purposes (subject to user consent):

  • Sending newsletters, surveys, and promotional communications regarding CMICA and RAM events and activities.

  • Performing statistical analysis to improve services.

3. Data Retention

Personal data will be retained only for the duration necessary to fulfill the stated purposes. Once that period has elapsed, data will be securely deleted or anonymized, observing administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.
