Editorial Independence Policy – Revista Alergia México
Revista Alergia México maintains strict editorial independence from any sponsoring, funding, or affiliated institutions in order to safeguard the scientific integrity and transparency of its editorial processes.
Although the Mexican College of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (CMICA) acts as the journal’s sponsor, the editorial team operates autonomously, particularly in the management, evaluation, and decision-making related to manuscript handling and publication. Editorial decisions are made solely based on academic, scientific, and ethical criteria, free from external influence.
Core principles of editorial independence:
-
Autonomy in decision-making
-
The editorial team has full authority over the selection and publication of content.
-
Editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial, institutional, or personal interests, including those of CMICA or collaborating organizations.
-
-
Transparency of the editorial board
-
The current editorial board is publicly listed on the journal’s website to promote accountability and foster trust within the scientific community.
-
-
Confidentiality and data protection
-
Editorial board members are required to maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information related to authors, reviewers, and readers.
-
The disclosure of personal data or unpublished editorial content to third parties is strictly prohibited, unless required by law or with explicit consent.
-
This policy follows the ethical standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) to ensure a fair, impartial, and transparent editorial process.
